I ’ve always been partial to Pomeranians. I really wanted one. Dennis said no purebreds - You should always get your dog from the pound. I don’t disagree with this, but Poms are so stinking cute! I always knew one day I would get a dog. I was 49 and I had never had a dog before. Sure, roommates had had dogs and I’ve had cats, but I’ve never had the pure joy of knowing the unconditional love of a dog of my own. In 2014, on Labor Day, Nikki and I were coming home from a visit with my parents. We were tooling through Summerville GA, and what do you know, we saw a little blonde dog running along the side of the road. Nikki and I both looked at each other and screamed “POMERANIAN!!!”. I squealed wheels and pulled over to try to catch him. He came to Nikki, and before you knew it we were speeding home - he instantly fell asleep in Nikki’s lap.
